I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Shell (Kuala Lumpur) in Aug 2015
Interview
Did a phone interview which took over 1hr and 15mins because there was a lot to talk about. Interviewer was very friendly and nice which made the conversation very relaxing and calm. Got an email a few days later saying that I have been invited to the Shell Recruitment Day (SRD). Read through the potential questions that can be asked and have your stories well rehearsed and you will have no problem at all. No surprise questions, just that a lot of questions will follow from the previous one and to your answers.

Interview
The interview process focses on behavioral assessments and technical screenings. Candidates are tested on the "CAR" method, focusing on safety, leadership, and on job competence through structured and in depth questions.
The first round is a recorded video interview. You need to record some videos based on their questions. There were 3 questions or me, which is not very unique. About your project, your interest in Shell.
I recently completed a video interview on HireVue, and the overall experience was pretty interesting. The platform presented a large number of psychological assessment questions along with several prompts focused on workplace morality and ethical decision-making. I appreciated that HireVue allowed unlimited time to record and re-record my video responses, which took a lot of the pressure off and made the process feel more flexible and less rushed.
Each portion of the interview was fairly in-depth and required thoughtful answers, so it ended up taking around 30 minutes per section. The combination of the structured assessments and the freedom to redo videos made the entire interview feel thorough but manageable.
