I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at SLB (Bucarest, ) in Dec 2013
Interview
I applied online. About a month later I recieved an e-mail invitation for a two-day assesment session at the company's HQ. It was RSVP and all expenses were suppossed to be covered in case I needed to stay in a hotel, to take a train etc.
The first day of the interview, we spent some time watching the company presentation and then we took 3 apptitude tests. The difficulty level was rather low: mechanics (it was more like applied physics), math (also more like applied physics) and logics (image sequences). Function of the results of these tests, the candidate was asked to come back the next day or go home.
The next day we had to come up with a 3-slide presentation about ourselves. It had to last for about 5 minutes. After that there was another series of tests for testing team-work and prioritization skills. The last test was a practical one and we had to build a paper bridge that could withstand the weight of a phone.
The final step was a one-on-one talk with the interviewer, which was a very arrogant man.
We were provided with food and bevrages, we had breaks and the overall atmosphere was very professional- the implications of the job on the lifestyle were clearly and repreatedly stated. I don't know if they actually cover the expenses they said they would because i wasn't in that situation, but overall, it was a great experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
No difficult or unexpected questions were asked. The discussions were very purpose oriented (double thumbs up in that respect)
1st round interview included short technical question, and telling about myself and the projects I worked on.
Not difficult/or hard, but just need to explain well enough to tell the logic process
It was an on campus hiring. First they shortlisted based on CV. Then second round was group discussion where we were given abstract topics like "Half filled glass of water" and were asked to discuss. This was also an eliminatory round. The final round was more of a HR round, they asked behavioural questions, few puzzles (very easy) and general knowledge questions
