Applied online and few weeks later a recruiter contacted me on Linkedin to schedule a screening interview, a few technical questions would be involved covering areas mainly in Systems and networks, after passing it two more interviews to happen, coding and systems.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meta in May 2018
Interview
First step is recruiter call/about 10 technical questions. Second step is coding interview.
Recruiters were super nice and super helpful. They provided me excellent information for interview preparation. Also recruiters were very accommodative for scheduling my coding interview. I failed in coding interview. But that was purely my own fault. I myself was less prepared due to my hectic schedule and late night work at my current job just a day before my coding interview.

Interview
My experience with Facebook recruitment was very good. I applied through their careers page and got an email from a recruiter no more than 10 minutes later. I was sent a link to an online quiz that had questions related to the role I was applying for. After my response the recruiter scheduled a quick call. I then went on to do two 45 minute online coding interviews with two different engineers from Facebook. Both interviews where very pleasant and relaxed, the questions where not too difficult at start but then became more complex. The people that interviewed me were very friendly and reasonable, it did not feel like they where testing me (even though they did) but rather like we where evaluating my fit for the role together. After my interviews I was very uncertain of how I did. The recruiter called me and informed me that they wanted me on the team and they gave me an offer.
Facebook has been very friendly, present and helpful at all steps in the recruitment.
