I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at KPMG (Princeton, NJ) in Feb 2010
Interview
I applied through Campus Career services. The day before the interview the 8 candidates were invited to meet with some of the employees and get a short presentation about KPMG. It was very casual. The next day I went into the interview and was asked questions for about 25 minutes and then asked my own questions for about 15 minutes. The questions were basic questions and were essentially the same questions that were listed on the KPMG website. They had a quick response time after the interview and I read the rejection letter exactly one week after the interview. Despite not getting an offer, the interview experience was enjoyable.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at KPMG (Singapour)
Interview
After submitting my CV, there was a virtual interview and they asked a market sizing question + why I wanted to join the specific department. They also asked about stuff in my CV and it was overall pretty manageable, they don't expect you to know much as an intern.
It was an hour long with 2 hiring manager and HR. Whole process was like one round to offer. This spanned around 2 weeks in total from HR reach out to offer letter.
The interview process at KPMG was straightforward but rigorous. I completed an online assessment, followed by a video interview, and then a panel interview with case questions. The team was professional, and the timeline was reasonable, taking about a month from application to offer.
