I applied online. I interviewed at IBM in Feb 2022
Interview
I got approached by a very keen IBM recruiter on the phone after applying for the position. He had said that the whole process would take 10 to 15 days from phone call to offer. He asked me to have a first web interview a couple days later, which was extremely short notice, but I was keen too so I arranged it. It was a general chat with someone from the team I would join.
The recruiter went AWOL after this. Keep in mind I had no other details than his phone number and name, I sent him a text the week after and heard nothing. I had to call him 2 days later to hear that the person who had interviewed me had been on holiday, and the recruiter had "just had the interview notes" passed to him.
It's been 3ish weeks overall to hear anything, until I texted him again to find out what's up and he said I had been unsuccessful. He got the response he deserved.
Overall extremely unprofessional from the recruiter and for a company like IBM.
