I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at HSBC
Interview
The whole process from applying to interview took about a month.
Round 1 - An exercise on credit assessment questions for a company of my choice
Round 2 - Zoom interview with 2 panel members
Then a verbal offer with made the same day 4 hours after the interview with a lot of talk about their values and culture.
But then after another month they tell me that the position has been put on hold - while I declined 2 offers from other companies as once HSBC said they were sharing the offer letter and were facing technical glitches and 2nd time they said that they had already shared the offer letter and I should have received it, and it will come anytime - after all that when I kept following up with the HR, he said that the position was put on hold. Unnecessarily wasted 2 months of my time and 2 offers because of this useless company. Its unimaginable from such a reputed company, they sounded so convincing. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM UNLESS YOU GET A FORMAL OFFER LETTER - AND IF THEY SAY THEY ARE FACING TECHNICAL GLITCHES - BEWARE!

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at HSBC in May 2021
Interview
Applied online, completed the assessment a week after. About a week after the assessment, got an email about an interview tomorrow. After the interview, I waited for two months while still checking in on a regular basis. Got an email asking for salary expectations from the outsourced portion of HR. After the whole two months process, they just sent me a generic rejection.
