Google Data Science interview questions

HR found me through LinkedIn. Scheduled a an informal phone talk to talk about my background and work interests for about 10 min. They will have another tech interview and a onsite if you pass the tech interview. This position at Mountain View now only hires PhDs.....

Hangout interview was right on time, fair questions, the very nice guy from Germany, asked mostly about my previous experience and academic background. As I see it, the goal was to understand the extent of my knowledge in statistics and machine learning, also how I draw conclusions and interpret the results of my research.
