TA screening (where we discussed pay) , video interview with Hiring manager, 2.5 hour in person interview with several employees where I drove 2 hours round trip to the middle of nowhere to their headquarters in GA. Typical interview questions. I thought some of it was overkill. They made an offer $30K below the amount discussed in the screening. I was shocked. There was management responsibility as well. I even explained I was making more than their offer in a previous role & did not understand the misalignment since it was already discussed in the screening. Escalated the issue to the VP & there was no resolution. They wouldn't honor the pay discussed in the pre-screening so I had to walk.
