I applied online. I interviewed at EDF (Saclay) in May 2023
Interview
Technically, it consisted of one code interview online of about 1 hour and then 3 technical interviews with senior faculty members. The questions were not complex. There were two other exchanges with HR and managers about my view on the company and its global strategy. All interviews went very smoothly.

Question 1
Example of "hard" technical question: How would you mathematically model the problem of managing a hydroelectric dam? And how would you solve it?
45 minute interview with the hiring manager. Behavioural and experience-based questions. Zero technical focus, which was surprising given that the role was for a research engineer. No feedback given, which was very disappointing.
