I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Discover in Feb 2025
Interview
First round technical, then if you're recommended there will be four more round. 1 white Board Session with system design and LLD, three are managerial round. Gave all five round interview, answered all the technical concept as well system design. Final round with one of the senior manager was such a waste of time. was very rude and asked personal question which is not align with job and very rude. Got rejected saying experience and tech expertise aligns more for senior application engineer. Waste of time, after 5 rounds of interview

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Discover in Feb 2025
Interview
Recruiter call followed by 4 rounds of just managers, who all seemed to be stuck in old school corporate ways. Not sure why there needs to be 4 rounds a same interviews to determine if applicant is good.
Flawed interview process and in no point during the interview process I felt there were any skill based questions. Java trivia at the end (most likely googled it herself 10 mins before) manager who didn’t know what actually is a test scenario and test case/use case. Seems like there’s also no actual culture of good sprints as they seemed ignorant of grooming planning sizing. No wonder it’s a circus show of 20 teams
Anyway any company wasting 4-5 hours of your time from get go is not worth giving time to they are most likely doing to meet quota of interviews before they go ahead and choose whoever they actually wanted on team from similar background/ethnicity
Three rounds, hr screening + technical + behavioral, not very difficult, and the progress is fast. Interviewers are generally nice, friendly to interns/new grad. The position is prepared for the rotational program.
