This was the least professional screening situation I have ever found myself in. The recruiter initially reached out to set up a phone screen, and when I provided my availability according to her availability, I never heard back from her. I checked back in, twice. I received a second follow up email with availability that didn't match what I had initially provided, but I wanted to make it work because I was excited for this role.
Come interview time, the recruiter totally blew me off and has yet to send an email, even after I sent two emails asking about the situation, rescheduling, etc. I took PTO for the interview time, and also worked to secure alternative childcare so I could be fully present.
I understand that things come up and recruiters have difficult jobs with schedules, but I have never been ghosted before. I still have yet to receive any follow up with the recruiter or anyone at DLL regarding the role, and I fully anticipate I will just get a form rejection email at some point.
This experience has left a very negative experience for me and the company. Applicants in the Des Moines/Johnston area, be advised and plan your time and expectations accordingly.
