DLL Contract Position interview questions

Recruiter contacted me to get a feel for my interest in a position. I was interested and agreed to do a proper phone interview. After the interview she told me she was going to move me to the next phase and recommend me for interview with manager the same week. Never heard back from her. Followed up, she responded she would let me know further details. Never heard back. Complete waste of my time and unprofessional to not update me or at least tell me they changed their mind.
