I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Jan 2011
Interview
I was referred by a friend, did a phone interview, passed that, then was asked to complete several online tests. One work style test, then two intelligence tests which I also passed. The verbal was more difficult than the math. I was invited for a personal interview where I interviewed individually with three managers so this took three hours. They each went through about three or so behavioral interview questions and this took up the whole hour with each manager. I did not get the position and the recruiter was not able to share why.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you were not satisfied with the status quo in the workplace and what did you do?
The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Feb 2010
Interview
Applied online, was send a personality/intelligence test. The test definitely required you to think, but was quite doable. After that, I was offered a case interview, I interviewed, and then was declined. I messed up on some basic math due to my nerves during the interview, which is probably what made me not move on to next round interviews which would have consisted of 2 case interviews and a behavioral.

Question 1
Asked about a promotion and whether or not it would be profitable to implement the promotion
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One in Nov 2010
Interview
The first round was typical resume and behavioral questions with a fairly basic case question involving the credit card industry. It was mostly simple problem solving and nothing you should have problems with if you actually get an interview. The second round was at their headquarters and consisted of three 1:1 interviews, 2 of which were cases and 1 that was behavioral. All the cases had a financial theme and brushing up on how the credit card industry works should help out with developing creative solutions to problems. Be sure you are comfortable both formulating your answers and possible graphing them out. I really liked the culture of the company and everyone I met was happy to have joined Capital One.
