I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at CNN (Atlanta, GA) in Sep 2010
Interview
Submitted job application online. Telephone interview; slow process to connect with hiring manager. Several discussions on the telephone. Eventually met in person. Spent some time with the team I was to work with before I was offered a position, to see if I would be an appropriate fit.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CNN (New York, NY)
Interview
The interview questions were pretty standard. I made it all the way until the last round but they decided to go with an internal candidate, which I hear typically happens. It's harder to get an interview without a connection though. Luckily I had a recruiter in my corner who took time to prep me for the interviews which was amazing!
