I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CNN in Feb 2018
Interview
There were three rounds of interviews/tests. After applying I first received an invite to do an online video interview through a program called Hirevue. It's prerecorded questions and you get two tries to answer them, but AI judges your answers and body language and rates you out of five stars, so be careful to keep eye contact and use key words/terms! They were typical questions, such as "What are your five year goals? Tell us about your experiences that prepare you for this internship? If you could pitch three stories right now, what would they be? Rate your writing skills on a scale of 1-10." About a week later I received a call to schedule a phone interview, which was much more conversational. I was asked about specific positions on my resume an how they've prepared me for this position, etc. The shortly after that I was given a skills assessment to determine if I'd pass the final round. A few days later, I got a call with the offer!

Interview
Digital interview on HireVue, it was pretty straight forward but I messed up by submitting the wrong video. You get two chances to answer each question. I was not vey well prepared for the interview as a result I would do some research on the program that you are applying to.
