FIRST they will take 2 hours test it have 4 sections.1- Binary tree 2-computer fundamentals 3- english
4- aptitute
then they select 35 students for interview.
In interview they will ask basic cs fundamentals and send you to HR Round.

Interview
CGI visited our campus on sept 9th, 2016. Recruitment process consisted of 3 rounds:
1. Aptitude test: Aptitude test was conducted by elitmus and was of easy difficulty level. The questions varied from all subject areas ranging from verbal ability to quantitative ability. Sound concept along with speed will be the key here. To add, cut off will be low as many half the total students cleared the aptitude round from my college. Questions varied from all the topics in quantitative ability section. All kind of questions were present in verbal section as well ranging from synonyms to parajumbles to reading comprehension. Questions were mostly easy and doable.
2.Group Discussion: We were divided into groups of 12. And total of 36 groups were there making up for around 450 students. Our topic of discussion was smart phone: a boon or bane. We were given 5 minutes for research work and in the mean time we could use our mobile phone and do the necessary research. Moderator judged us upon the following parameters: Fluency, Clarity, Grammar, Confidence, Articulation. Total of 10 minutes was provided for discussion. Puting up 2-3 points in confidence will help you clear this round.
3. Personal Interview: Technical interviewer will generally ask you very basic programming in C language or JAVA(if from CSE). DBMS query too will be important. Dbms query given to most students was tough and required the help of nested query. One should try and the interviewer will judge you hw far one could make it right. Basic DSA questions were also asked. One should know every little mentioned in CV. Project will be important and if one can explain the project rightly, one should be half way through. If not, interviewer will try to test your knowledge.HR interviewer had put me up with questions relating to myself and family members just. There is nothing to worry about this round. Confidence will again be the key here. He too pointed out regarding my poor performance in Class 12. I found him proper answer and persuaded him to best possible extent.

Interview
CGI came to my campus for hiring FTE's. First there was cgpa cutoff of 60%.
1) There was an on line objective round of 2 hours. It has different sections like verbal, technical, logical, aptitude etc. Each section has time limit. Questions were easy from verbal and aptitude. In data structures they mainly asked on trees. Overall the exam was average. Not very easy.
2) They have shortlisted nearly 35 members for the technical interview which were held later. Technical interview was quite simple and they asked basic questions and covered the resume part.
3) In third round only 14 were shortlisted for HR interview. The HR's were so friendly and normal hr questions were asked.
4) Finally they selected 8 members.

Mainly they asked on c++ and oops concepts with examples. Projects which u have done. Then DBMS and OS basic concepts. They were looking for people with strong basic knowledge.
