I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Minneapolis, MN) in Nov 2019
Interview
I had an interview with an HR rep that went well. The second interview was with a design lead. It went well but they encourage you to use their leadership principles to describe yourself or situations along with the SMART method. It is complex and requires you to set those stories up ahead of time to practice and memorize.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2021
Interview
Chime call for 30 mins. Started out not as a conversation - but a serious interview QA session. I wasn't aware that chime was a video call service. I had to spend the first few minutes fumbling around for my head set and getting situated.

Question 1
Strange interview session. High level questions about "most complex single interaction " I have ever designed.
