I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2013
Interview
2 calls to start with - one was technical with questions like " how does a browser" work, the other one was more behavioral / management related
followed up by onsite interview where i saw 8 to 9 people in the team and dev manager from other teams - it was a mix of behavioral and brainstorming questions on the product i would work on . interviewers follow a precise set of questions and did not feel very "human" it was like going through an automated process . Very smart people that are very geeky . very interesting products and customer focused mission
A recruiter from Amazon contacted me, stating that he found my resume in the company DB and if I was interested in a Technical Project Manager role. After the initial screening they asked me to complete a online test. I was expecting management related question, but I was surprised to see technical questions.
