Pros

- Free food - 20% Discount for family and friends - Fresh orange chicken tastes good - That's about it.

Cons

- Cannot for the life of me understand my manager's accent - Senior management does not act professional - Work the hardest out of my coworkers for NO raise - Cross training proves to be stressful, it's hard to clean a table while helping someone at a cash register - Manager always yelling at me to do something when I'm clearly already doing something - Disrespectful staff & no positive feedback for a job well done - Manager does not ASK me to do something, he TELLS me... Which is a lot to ask for $8.25 an hour. - Absolutely no respect for employees. - Stressful opening and closing procedures, lots to remember without a given list, then get yelled at for forgetting something

The art of stringing people along

Pros

They are willing to teach you a lot of things, many different areas of the business rather than just one thing. If you are willing to learn. They take chances on hiring people with no experience for leadership positions

Cons

Extreme preference and favoritism towards asians, particular in upper management. Tendency to dwell on mundane negative details rather than the big picture. IE I took over, have the sales up higher than they've ever been, customer reviews are very positive overall, especially compared to other stores in the area, have put in 60+ hours somewhat regularly without getting any real shot at the GM title. No recognition is given for this, when regional management comes in the problem becomes how white is the grout between the tiles, how dusty are the tops of the picture frames, how shiny are the copper pipes in the back. Also, the Landmark, Creeser, etc cult classes are ridiculous. At eleven dollars an hour I told them I can't afford 400 dollars plus a hotel room plus missed work. I am made to feel like someone who just makes excuses or doesn't care when I bring this up.

Pros

I learned about hard work, sacrifice, and high expectations. My experiences at Panda make me a much more attractive candidate for future positions because most peolpe in the industry know how dedicated you have to be to survive at Panda.

Cons

I was told I was 'too white and too female' to be promoted. I worked 60+ hours a week and traveled up to 50% of the time. Unless you are willing to sell your soul or you are Asian, there are few opportunities to grow with this company
