Pros

lots of friendly regulars customers usually are great tips at the end of each shift decent hours during most of the year basic benefits after 1yr of employment

Cons

there is more drama than in a high school staff consistently book days off staff have given up covering shifts regularly high turnover rate can be pushed to take the gray shirt (supervisor) exam after the three-month probation more often than not there is a fight for power/authority amongst gray shirts constant blame on each other Call in sick? Unless someone is willing to cover you are coming in no matter how bad it is Hurt yourself? Ok your modded duties are doing things that will aggravate the injury and slow the healing process if not make it worse Problems are rarely solved (when problems are resolved it lasts maybe a week) poor training (has slightly improved since I started but not by much honestly)

Pros

Good Music Bonus Programs Opportunities for Advancement (Good crew members get offered a promotion within a 6 - 12 month period usually). Free Food with every shift. If you want a career in food (corporate or otherwise) this is a great place to start

Cons

Quality and cleanliness standards are VERY STRINGENT. Be prepared to uphold them. Fast Food means high turnover, be prepared to get called to come in for the new guy who didn't show up (extra hours if you are willing/able). Pay for non - management is meager (though has gotten better recently, at least at my location). Be very wary of poor management signs when you have an interview. Be sure to ask what their secret shopper WIN percentage is (percentage of shops that are 100% perfect). They might brag about a 92% average, but shops only pay out when you have 100% on the secret shopper score. If half of their shops are 98%, half of them didn't net the crew a bonus.
