Pros
Close to where I lived. Of course I moved there, to be close to work. They did pay for my relocation (from Houston to Dallas). And at the time I was hired, it was a decent salary (early 2005); unfortunately I never got more than a 1 or 2% raise during the next 6 years! They also milk the whole Olympics thing for a lot of free publicity (and free volunteer labor from their employees). That could be a con as well.
Cons
Understaffed for the amount of services they try to provide. Poor morale. Overly large amounts of night & weekend work (and no overtime for most of the "exempt" employees). Low salary base and no significant raises for years. Constant threat of layoffs. No real path for advancement. No support for telecommuters. Minimal support for training and travel. Ridiculous amounts of employee turnover (especially Windows and network groups). Practically unknown company in the US. Aging technology base and physical plant.
