Pros

The benefits package is affordable and complete.

Cons

Micro management. Everything you do with a customer must be scripted word for word else your quality scores suffer. Scripting is developed by management and they have never taken a customer call so cannot understand that how you word something with one customer does not mean that it will work with the next.

Pros

There is plenty of opportunity for advancement in AIG; however, it takes a "driven" personality to succeed. At AIG, employees are allowed to freely move between divisions. It is a tough environment to succeed, but, if you can succeed at AIG, you can do well anywhere.

Cons

With the current situation, senior management has not given any insight into what the company is planning. As employees, we get our news from the media first, and then, we are offered a reactionary webcast, where no real information is conveyed. The new leadership of AIG has made it clear that they are not going to make any effort to retain talented employees or improve morale.
