About the Opportunity
AS Talent Partners is supporting an independent advisory firm specializing in geopolitical analysis, political risk, and strategic advisory services in the recruitment of an experienced Policy Analyst.
The firm provides research, policy analysis, and strategic advisory support to organizations operating across international markets. Its work focuses on helping clients understand political, regulatory, and economic developments through rigorous analysis informed by publicly available information, expert engagement, and academic research.
For confidentiality reasons, the identity of the client will be disclosed to shortlisted candidates at a later stage of the recruitment process.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Policy Analyst to support the client’s research and analytical activities on an independent contractor basis.
The successful candidate will contribute to projects covering international politics, economic policy, regulatory developments, public policy, and geopolitical risk.
This is a fully remote, contract-based opportunity with flexible working arrangements depending on project requirements and mutually agreed terms.
Please note that this opportunity is structured as an independent contractor engagement and does not constitute salaried employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor political, economic, and regulatory developments across assigned regions and sectors.
- Support client projects by identifying emerging trends and assessing their implications for business, investment, and public policy.
- Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with policymakers, industry experts, academics, and other stakeholders.
- Produce written deliverables including briefing notes, analytical reports, presentations, and risk assessments.
- Participate in discussions with subject-matter experts, researchers, industry stakeholders, and policy specialists.
- Contribute to internal publications and external thought-leadership content.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Public Policy, Journalism, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in policy research, geopolitical analysis, journalism, consulting, academia, government, or think tanks.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Candidates must be legally resident in Europe and have the appropriate authorization to undertake contract work in their country of residence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Published research, commentary, or analysis related to international affairs, public policy, economics, or regional studies.
- Experience conducting expert interviews and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with policy-making processes, regulatory systems, or government institutions.
- Existing professional relationships within academic, policy, industry, or research communities are welcomed but not required.
