I submitted my job application via email and hand in to the company myself. I was called for an interview a month afterwards.
During the interview I was asked tell me about yourself. Then we were discussing about the job description, they were also telling me details about the company how they value people in the company. The interviewer were also comparing themselves to other oil service companies in terms of valuing people in the company. i was also informed about their career development plan.
They asked my expectation salary, I was fresh graduate and i was expecting 3.5k, they laughed and asked why I think my salary should be that much? They were offering me $3.0k instead without any allowance but with a month annual bonus. The job is office based and they were expecting me to be available to work weekends if required.
Since I had job offer from other company as well, I said I will let them know if I want to get that job.
Then I was asked if I want to continue with formal interview questions.
Some of the interview questions or scenario based problems.
- Tell me a time when you had an issue or problems in a group work, what approach did you take to solve the problems?
- Tell me a time when You were involved with safety issue, how did you respond to that issue?
- Have you ever had group project? What is your roles in that group project?
I didn't accept the job offers because the basic is too low, no any types of allowance will be given nor staff housing provided. (My other job offers is much better)
