This is during the Spring semester of school so most companies had already hired their interns. However, Schlumberger announces that they are searching for interns still. About fifty students were signed up for interviews. It wasn't until during the interview that we were all told that there was only one position open. I just don't understand why they would hold a giant info session the day before and tell everyone that they are looking for interns when there is really only one spot left.
The Interview:
The interview was very laid back and the interviewer just went down the resume asking general questions about certain items. Near the end though, the interviewer pulled out a packet with what she referred to as "goofy questions". These are random questions about situations that are literally never going to happen. For example, my question was "If you were shrunken down to the size of a nickel and put into a blender and the blades would turn on in 5 minutes then what would you do?"
