I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at IBM
Interview
Interview process was typical where it starts with phone interview, and technical interview.
Nice part is at the time, I did not have to come in for interview which is nice if you are not located in the area.
I applied online. I interviewed at IBM (Bucarest, ) in Apr 2014
Interview
There was an assessment center and after that I was called for an interview. During the interview, there was somebody who asked me questions...out of the ordinary, maybe to test my endurance and somebody who asked me technical questions.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at IBM in Apr 2017
Interview
After a brief phone screen that covered my personal history and projects, I was invited onsite. There, I interviewed with a team of employees. The beginning questions were somewhat generic "tell us about yourself" as an opportunity to discuss any big school/personal work I had done. Then we moved onto the technical portion, where they gave me a scenario (building a site for a store to sell records), and asked me how I would manage the data. This portion went fairly well, with the team actively engaging me and asking additional questions during my answer, presumably as a test of how I handle working in a group setting. Left feeling pretty good about my performance.
Received a call some days afterward that all internships throughout the company had been put on hold, and so they weren't moving forward. I'm fairly certain that it was a white lie to make me feel better, but I appreciated the consideration.

Say you were building a site that sells music records. If we wanted to keep track of customer purchases, how what data would you track and how?
