I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IBM
Interview
the interviewer was late for an hour, but he was very nice. The questions are most about Java and C++, algorithm, pattern, and concurrency. No behaviour question was asked. At the end he told me to wait for a followup.

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at IBM (Austin, TX)
Interview
One interview, with two other software engineers. Very basic interview, just asked questions about my resume. They asked really in depth questions about projects on my resume, much deeper than I needed to know for the scope of my project.

There was one initial phone interview, one technical phone interview on object oriented languages, an IQ test and one on-site behavioral interview. Overall a quick and painless process, nothing too unexpected was asked of me.
