I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IBM in Oct 2016
Interview
I got an email with a link to the Hirevue Coding challenge 2-3 days after I submitted the application online. I had 12 questions in total out of which there were 3 coding challenges, 4 video responses (2 behavioral + 2 technical) and 5 essay answers (all technical). The coding challenges were pretty simple. You get an option to choose from 4 different programming languages. The questions do not involve heavy data structures/algorithms. Choose a language in which you are fairly proficient and you can easily solve the questions. The entire test took about 2 hours for me.
I am still waiting to hear back from them.

Interview
I received an email from IBM saying I was approved to take their coding challenge which took around 4 hours. The coding challenge included a video interview. You start with a video interview and you are given roughly a minute and a half to prepare your response and five minutes to record your response in one take. After a few interview questions, you move onto the coding challenge which consists of three questions which take about an hour and a half each.

Interview
Was sent the IBM coding challenge a day or two after I applied. The challenge consisted of 7-8 questions: 3 were coding problems that you have to solve & the remainder were a mix of behaviorial & verbal technical questions that required webcam responses. This challenge lasted about 4 hours, despite the email saying that it would typically last 2-3 hours. Two day after I completed the challenge, I was notified that I passed and could go for a face to face interview the following week. The face to face interview was via webcam with a senior software engineer and was an hour long. In his own words, there are no right or wrong answers during the interview. Instead, he was more interested in my personality and thought process. The interview was mostly about my interests, the extent of my knowledge in certain areas, one whiteboard question, and one brain teaser. A week after the interview, I was notified that the position was given to someone else.
