assessment day consisted of back to back interviews, one involving a case study, a behavioural interview and a competency interview. this was for the internship so it wasn’t too technical and overall not that difficult. more questions about technology within the banking sector so useful to know banking technicals

In short, my time was not respected in the least. I had spent quite a long while studying for their specific interview, and I had passed the first interview fine. The second interview was given 4 months later and giving me a one week window. By then I had forgotten all the material as I had started working on my own personal stuff, thinking the job was rejected. When I was given the interview, I had forgotten some syntax, and simply put, even though I could tell them exactly how the process was on paper, because I didn't know the language by heart, I couldn't answer without googling something that would take approximately 20 seconds. If that is something that can flunk an interview, I don't think they know what to prioritize when looking for talent.
